"Receive"
How much of your waking day is taken up with chores that must be done?
We go through the day, or week, or maybe just the next few minutes trying to navigate the obstacles in our path.
Whether at work or home, these tasks are mostly not optional, and if we just neglect doing them, the result would likely be a bigger mess, and more work in the long run.
So we put our nose to the grindstone, and JUST DO IT. And that ultimately shapes our lives into something more manageable.
But the things we do repeatedly also shape and form us. They instil muscle memory in our bodies; and well-worn pathways in our brains.
Do they also shape our spirit; do they form us spiritually? Do these tasks, and the way we do them, mold how we grow and respond to the world God has given? Does it shape our experience of God?
Does the way we do tasks affect what we receive in the doing?
For this Sunday... read Luke 15:8-10
Going deeper... read Luke 15:8-10 and reflect on the everyday-ness of thoroughly cleaning up a house or work place, or any other place. What are the mundane tasks that you spend your day on? How might the task be changed if instead of asking, "what do I need to do next?", you asked, "what is here for me to receive?"

Coming to a new place can be intimidating. Here’s the "fine print" so you can relax.
It’s casual! Wear what makes you feel comfortable. You'll be welcomed at the door and if you have kids we'll get them signed in to a program (if they want!) and show them the activity table - then you can have a coffee or tea, and find a seat or someone to chat with!
We love music that moves us. Sometimes it’s a contemporary melody; sometimes it’s a traditional or reimagined hymn. Our faithful worship team is a blessing!
We talk about things that matter to our community and beyond. God's love, walking like Jesus, and how the ancient scriptures continue to speak into our lives and our world.
They’ll love it here. We have dedicated spaces where they can play, learn, and be exactly who they are in a safe, fun environment.
We offer a weekly Sunday School program for kids
aged 3 - Grade 4, and a BeTween program for kids in grades 5 - 8. In keeping with our Safe Church protocols, we ask parents to sign their children in before the service.
Kids will be dismissed for their programs part way through the service.
We also offer nursery care for our littlest members!
Deep faith... wide embrace.
We believe that God is love, and that love changes everything.
He is our centre. We look to His life to understand what God is like: compassionate, boundary-crossing, and restorative.
Every person is an image-bearer of the God. We believe that diversity—in race, gender, ability, and orientation—is a reflection of God’s creativity.
We aren't here to judge the world; we’re here to help heal our little corner of it. We believe in working for justice and being good neighbours.
We believe there is a Presence that guides us, comforts us, and keeps pulling us toward a better future.
We don’t have all the answers, but we’re committed to the conversation.
